It also looks like I have one last issue to solve.
I'll have it for you in just a minute.

Also... is there anything in the admin panel regarding this mod? I am trying to find where the settings are but I cannot seem to find them...

Yes, i checked the install fine and there's nothing added in the admin panel... In the future, will be possible to convert from ?F to ?C for example? Thats because here in Europe we use only Celsius

Ok, here should be the last thing.

in templates/*/citycode_finder.tpl
Code: Select all
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------
#
<p>&#123;L_ENTER_CITY&#125; <input type="text" name="loc" size="20"><input type="submit" value="&#123;L_SEARCH&#125;"></p>
</form>
#
#-----&#91; REPLACE EVERYTHING AFTER THAT WITH &#93;-----------------
#
<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
<p class="gensmall" align="center">&#123;WEATHER_DATA&#125;</p>
<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->

in templates/*/weather.tpl
Code: Select all
#
#-----&#91; FIND &#93;--------------------------------
#
<form action="&#123;U_FILENAME&#125;" method="POST">
         <td colspan="4">&#123;L_ENTER_CITY&#125; <input type="text" name="loc" size="20"><input type="submit" value="&#123;L_SEARCH&#125;"></td>
      </form>
#
#-----&#91; REPLACE EVERYTHING AFTER THAT WITH &#93;-------------------
#
   </tr>
   <tr>
      <td colspan="4">&#123;L_WEATHERCOM_DATA&#125;</td>
   </tr>
</table>
<!-- END switch_weather -->
<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
<p class="gensmall" align="center">&#123;WEATHER_DATA&#125;</p>
<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->

Once you do that, everything should be working great.

Oh, yes, I forgot about the weather.com icon.
in templates/*/weather.tpl
Code: Select all
#
#-----&#91; FIND &#93;-------------
#
<td colspan="4">&#123;L_WEATHERCOM_DATA&#125;</td>
#
#-----&#91; REPLACE WITH &#93;----
#
<td colspan="4">&#123;WEATHERCOM_DATA&#125;</td>

Then the weather.com image should come up.

Yes, I hadn't thought of that before, but there is an easy way to switch your entire board to celcius.

in weather.php
Line:62
Find:
Code: Select all
$forecast_url = "http&#58;//xoap.weather.com/weather/local/$loc_id?cc=*&dayf=$length&prod=xoap&par=$partner_ID&key=$license_key";

Replace With
Code: Select all
$forecast_url = "http&#58;//xoap.weather.com/weather/local/$loc_id?cc=*&dayf=$length&prod=xoap&par=$partner_ID&key=$license_key&ut=C";

All that does is add
Code: Select all
&ut=C

That should change weather for all your users to Celcius.
I'll make a database table to deal with that in the future.

Thank you for the update..This seems to be working now. Only aq couple things.. The image on the current weather dialog, the path is pointing to templates/subsilver/images/weather_images/*

but all the other images paths are root/images/weather_images/* and the weather image at the bottom of the weather page is broken. The path that it is pointing to is /%s which I have no idea what this meens.

EDIT: oops sorry, i see that this issure about the logo at the bottom of the page was already addressed. But now it is pointing to the templates directory while the other images are pointing to root/images

OK...Excellent mod!!! Seems to be working great! I finally went live with it today and my users seem to love it. It works so well with my board because my board is about mushroom hunting, wild game hunting and fishing. One thing this all has in common is that everyone wants to know the weather constantlyto plan these events.

You can check out the mod in action at my board by using this test account I created along time ago.

login=dogwood
pass=hunter

Feel free to change zipcodes if you wish.

I have a special customized button at the top of the forum that looks like all my others for the weather but I have made it so it only shows when you are logged in as registered user.
